Let's get down to the basics. We're a canine role-play, rated PG-13. [Some content may not be suitable for younger ages, but if you think you can handle it, feel free. ^-^] Haiki Mura has had a fresh coat of paint and are working for new faces and welcoming back old ones.
Version Seven: Before The Rain
The Beginning
Capsizing onto Japan's rocky shoreline, canines pour out from the ship that has been their home for months: Aristides. Cramped into the large ship, some of these canines are grateful to see the sun and feel the sand sift across their dirty paws. Others cower inside the ship as the ocean water begins to seep into Aristides' wooden floorboards. The bones of rats and carcasses of unfortunate dogs are dragged along the current of the salty water. Starved and dehydrated, many canines began to gulp down unhealthy amounts of salt water in their desperation to quench their thirst. Soon after, their blood cells begin to shrivel up and die in their veins. Each remaining canine run in fear to keep hold of their acclaimed title as a survivor, knowing that death remains in their shadows if they hover near the ocean. Starving and sick, the Ship Wreck dogs travel in a large pack, devastating the land they trespass. Unable to grasp onto life, many die in their tracks, littering the outskirts with bodies but only for a short while. Temptation evolves into cannibalism as the Ship Wreck dogs begin to devour their fallen pack mates. Only the strongest and most vicious of the Aristides canines will arrive in the sanctuary of Haiki Mura.
Haiki Mura Lake has become the headquarters of this ferocious clan of canines; their only fear is leaving the fresh water. For the canines that step in these canines' way almost always meet death. Only the lucky ones find themselves brutally attacked and chased away. Aristides' passengers carry a disease in their blood and saliva, yet show no symptoms. Consequently, the bite from a Ship Wreck dog may necrotize, causing the skin to bleed and fur to fall out. If fortunate, a dog is left with a gruesome scar over the dead tissue and survive-now immune to the disease. Not all may escape so easily. If the injury is too serious, limbs will be lost or even the possibility of bleeding death has arisen. One must be careful about the fights chosen, because biting an already infected canine, or ingestion of diseased blood, will begin an immediate attack on internal organs and death is almost definite. However, there is hope.
Many dogs within Haiki Mura seem to be immune to the disease without previous contact. Wolves seem to be immune altogether. Canines who have been vaccinated by humans and dogs with a special blood type do not show symptoms when exposed and are the only hope to the rest of Haiki Mura. Still, the immune are outnumbered by the diseased. As of now, the dogs of Haiki Mura must forgive the wolves and each other in order to survive.
